The Rip It Up Team
Alex and Cassandra McEwan
Co-founders and Owners
Rip It Up was established in 2013 and we were looking to build a sustainable business to invest our energy into and pass onto our children in the future. We are both very driven, focused and goal orientated people so the decision to start our own company was born.
Cas’s occupation prior to this was as a Sales manager as well as a Mum of 4 very busy and energetic kids.
Alex on the other hand has had an unusual in his career journey, his choices stand out from the norm. Alex always was driven in sport and the ultimate goal was the Olympic games.
From his early adulthood up to his 30’s he represented Australia as Short track speed skater in two Winter Olympic games Torino, Italy 2002 and Salt Lake City 2006 in the 500m distance and relay’s.
Alex also represented his sport in World Cups and World Championships at one time placing him 7th overall in 2003. After his sporting career he went on to a Bridge and Wharf Carpentry trade.
It is with this background we really work well together as a team, and even though owing a business can be challenging and rewarding all at the same time! We are grateful we get to grow this together.
